Carry On is made by GardeWear Pty Ltd on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Ed built this product after his own prostate surgery, and he cares that the experience of finding it is as calm and respectful as the product itself. That includes making sure the website does not leave anyone out.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our target. This is a widely recognised benchmark for making web content easier to perceive, operate, and understand. We treat it as a goal we keep working toward rather than a finish line, and we review the site as we add new pages and features.
What we have done so far
We have built the site with these things in mind from the start:
- Clear, semantic page structure so screen readers can announce headings, lists, and landmarks in a sensible order.
- Keyboard navigation, so you can move through links, buttons, and forms without needing a mouse.
- Colour contrast chosen to keep text readable against its background.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, so the content still makes sense when images cannot be seen.
We know there is more to do, and some areas may not yet fully meet our target. We are continuing to test and improve.
Tell us about a barrier
If you run into something on this site that is hard to use, confusing, or stops you completely, please let us know. Email us at hello@carryonwear.com and tell us what page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what got in the way. The more detail you can share, the faster we can fix it. We read every message and we will reply.
We will help you another way
If the website is getting in the way of ordering, you do not have to struggle with it. Email hello@carryonwear.com and we will help you complete your order another way, including the free three-pair trial. The trial pack itself is free; you just pay shipping at checkout. We will walk it through with you at whatever pace suits you.
A note on this statement
This statement reflects our current approach and will be updated as the site grows and as we test it against our accessibility target. If you have questions about anything here, or about how we can better support you, please reach out at hello@carryonwear.com.
